Ingredients for Shredded Ribs:

  • 2.2 lbs beef short ribs (cubed)
  • 1 large onion
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp Bahian seasoning (or ½ tsp cumin + ½ tsp coriander + ¼ tsp paprika)
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tomatoes
  • ½ red bell pepper
  • Fresh parsley and scallions to taste
  • 1 tbsp annatto seeds
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

How to Make Shredded Ribs:

  1. Use pre-cut ribs or cube them yourself
  2. Sauté ribs in a pressure cooker
  3. Add quartered onion and minced garlic
  4. Include diced tomatoes and bell pepper
  5. Season with salt, Bahian seasoning, annatto, parsley, and scallions
  6. Add olive oil
  7. Cover with water (don’t overfill)
  8. Pressure cook for 60 minutes
  9. Shred once cool
  10. Serve with reserved broth and warm bread

Pro Tips:
