  • 1 medium cabbage
  • 700g lean ground beef
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

How to Prepare Cabbage Rolls:

Cabbage:

  1. Separate cabbage leaves carefully without tearing them
  2. Boil in water for a few minutes until tender but not mushy
  3. Lay them flat on a surface to fill

Filling:

  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl

Assembly:

  1. Place a generous amount of filling in each cabbage leaf, avoiding overfilling to prevent tearing
  2. Roll them like small cigars
  3. Secure with toothpicks or kitchen twine
  4. Arrange in a pot with tomato sauce, water, and lemon drops
  5. Use peeled tomatoes for less acidity or any preferred sauce
  6. Cook for 30-40 minutes until rice is fully cooked
