Ingredients for Chocolate Granola Air Fryer Cake:

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour;
  • 1 cup high-quality unsweetened cocoa powder (70% cocoa recommended);
  • 4 tablespoons turbinado or raw sugar (demerara style);
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted;
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract;
  • ½ cup milk;
  • 2 large eggs;
  • ½ cup granola;
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder.

How to make Chocolate Granola Air Fryer Cake:

  1. Grease a cake pan that fits inside your air fryer basket with butter and a light dusting of flour.
  2. In a mixing bowl, lightly beat the eggs.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and melted butter, mixing well.
  4. Stir in the milk.
  5. Add the turbinado sugar and stir until well dissolved.
  6. Add the cocoa powder and combine.
  7. Gradually sift in the flour and mix until the batter is smooth and uniform.
  8. Fold in the granola until evenly distributed.
  9. Finally, add the baking powder and stir gently until incorporated.
  10. Pour the batter into your prepared pan. Air fry at 300°F (150°C) for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  11. Once done, let it rest inside the air fryer for about ten minutes before unmolding. Enjoy!

Chef’s Tip:

Feel free to customize your cake by adding chopped nuts or walnuts. You can also use a granola blend that includes dried fruits for an extra touch of texture and flavor!

Did you know?

Granola was created by a Swiss physician in the late 19th century. Dr. Maximilian Bircher-Benner developed it as a healthy way to provide nutrients and fiber to his patients. The original recipe featured oats, nuts, grated apples, and condensed milk, and was called “Müesli.” Over time, the recipe evolved to include various seeds and dried fruits. Today, granola is a global favorite, loved for its crunchy, nutritious, and delicious profile.
