This Moist Orange Juice Cake is a comforting dessert that brings the family together for afternoon coffee. Easy to make with instant pudding mix and orange cake mix, it’s a nostalgic treat.

Ingredients for the Moist Orange Juice Cake:

Base:

  • 3/4 teaspoon vegetable oil;
  • 4 large eggs;
  • 1 box of instant lemon pudding mix;
  • 1 cup (8 fl oz) freshly squeezed orange juice;
  • 1 box of orange or vanilla cake mix;
  • Orange slices for decoration (optional).

Glaze:

1 cup (8 fl oz) freshly squeezed orange juice;
4 tablespoons unsalted butter;
2 tablespoons granulated sugar.

How to Prepare the Moist Orange Juice Cake:

  1. Preheat oven at 350°F (180°C);
  2. Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan;
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, pudding mix, vegetable oil, orange juice, and eggs;
  4. Beat with an electric mixer for 2 minutes;
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan;
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean;
  7. Let cool in the pan;
  8. Meanwhile, melt sugar, orange juice, and butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat;
  9. Stir constantly;
  10. Poke holes in the cake and pour the warm glaze over it;
  11. Let sit for 15-20 minutes until the glaze is absorbed;
  12. Invert onto a serving platter and garnish with orange slices if desired.

Flavor Variations:
