Homemade Cinnamon Liqueur Recipe

If you’re a cinnamon lover, this recipe is for you. Today we’re going to prepare a homemade cinnamon liqueur that you can use in a variety of drinks and even in sweet or savory recipes. Let’s get started!

Ingredients for homemade cinnamon liqueur:

  • 10 Cinnamon sticks;
  • 3 3/4 cups (approx. 750g) Granulated sugar;
  • 1 Liter high-quality vodka or neutral grain spirit;
  • 4 1/4 cups (1 Liter) Water.

How to make homemade cinnamon liqueur:

  1. First, boil the water with the cinnamon sticks for 10 to 15 minutes;
  2. Next, add the sugar, stir, and let it boil for another 10 minutes;
  3. Turn off the heat and stir in the vodka or neutral grain spirit;
  4. Let it cool slightly, then pour the liqueur, including the cinnamon sticks, into clean glass bottles or jars;
  5. Wait at least 15 days for it to infuse;
  6. The longer it infuses, the better the flavor will be.
