Looking for a decadent treat? This creamy chocolate batida is absolutely delicious and the perfect cocktail to serve your guests during a casual get-together or dinner party.
Ingredients for the Chocolate Batida:
- 1 bar (approx. 3.5 oz / 100g) of semi-sweet chocolate (your favorite brand);
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk;
- 1.5 cups (approx. 350-400ml) of vodka, cachaça, or sake;
- 1 carton (approx. 7 oz / 200g) of table cream (nestlé media crema or heavy cream);
How to Make Chocolate Batida:
- Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe glass bowl for about 1 minute (or use a double boiler if preferred). If using the microwave, watch it closely to avoid burning;
- Add the table cream to the melted chocolate and mix well until smooth;
- In a blender, combine the sweetened condensed milk, the spirit of your choice (vodka, cachaça, or sake), and the chocolate mixture;
- Blend for approximately 5 minutes;
- Pour the mixture into a 2-liter bottle or pitcher and place it in the freezer for 12 hours;
- After 6 hours, remove the container from the freezer and give it a good shake to ensure the flavors are well-incorporated. Return to the freezer for the remaining time;
- Serve over ice for a smoother, more refreshing consistency!
Pro-Tips & Variations:
You can use this same base to create other flavors, like strawberry! Feel free to substitute the semi-sweet chocolate with white chocolate or milk chocolate for a different profile.
