If you’re a beginner at bread making, this recipe is perfect to get you started. Today, we’re making homemade air fryer rolls—the perfect way to use that handy kitchen gadget to simplify your routine. Let’s get started!

Ingredients for Homemade Air Fryer Rolls:

  • 2/3 cup (150ml) lukewarm milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened

How to Make Homemade Air Fryer Rolls:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the lukewarm milk, egg, and butter.
  2. Add the sugar, salt, and active dry yeast.
  3. Mix well until everything is dissolved.
  4. Gradually add the flour, mixing continuously until it forms a dough.
  5. Once the dough becomes too heavy to mix with a spoon, use your hands.
  6. The dough should start to pull away from the sides of the bowl.
  7. Transfer to a floured surface and knead for 10 to 15 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  8. Place the dough in a bowl, cover it, and let it rest until it doubles in size (about 40 minutes).
  9. Once rested, deflate the dough gently with your fingers to release the air.
  10. Divide the dough into smaller, equal-sized balls.
  11. Line your air fryer basket with parchment paper and lightly grease it with oil.
  12. Arrange the dough balls in the air fryer (keep it turned off) and let them rise for 30–40 minutes until doubled in size.
  13. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 7 minutes (first phase).
  14. Then, reduce the heat to 300°F (150°C) and bake for another 8 minutes.

Enjoy your fresh bread!

Pro Tips:

For a golden finish, brush the tops of the rolls with an egg wash before baking. You can also brush them with melted butter once they come out of the air fryer for a beautiful shine.
