Looking for an irresistible dessert to surprise your family this weekend? Look no further! We’re sharing our favorite orange custard pudding recipe. While a classic custard pudding is already delicious, adding a bright citrus twist makes it absolutely extraordinary. Make it early in the day so it’s perfectly chilled and ready to serve after lunch. Let’s get baking!

Ingredients for the Orange Custard Pudding:

Custard:

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk;
  • 4 large eggs;
  • 1 can (14 oz) fresh orange juice (use the empty condensed milk can to measure);
  • 1 can (14 oz) whole milk (use the empty condensed milk can to measure).

Caramel Sauce:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar;
  • ¼ cup water.

How to Make Orange Custard Pudding:

  1. Start with the caramel: place the sugar in a heavy-bottomed saucepan.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar has completely dissolved and turned into an amber caramel.
  3. Lower the heat and carefully stir in the water.
  4. Continue stirring until the mixture is smooth, then pour it into a fluted tube pan (Bundt pan), coating the bottom and sides.
  5. For the custard, combine all the ingredients in a blender.
  6. Blend well for about 3 minutes until smooth.
  7. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 1 hour.
  8. Once baked, let it cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours to firm up before unmolding.
  9. Carefully invert onto a serving platter and serve chilled.
  10. Enjoy!

Pro-Tips:

For an elegant presentation, line the bottom of the pan with thin orange slices before pouring in the custard batter. It adds a beautiful touch when you unmold it!
