This is the favorite dessert of Brazilians, for sure. It’s a must-have at any birthday party, and today there are many variations from the traditional to the gourmet. Our recipe for today is the sugar-free Brazilian brigadeiro, let’s get started!

Ingredients for sugar-free Brazilian brigadeiro:

  • 2 tablespoons of 100% cocoa powder;
  • 1 teaspoon of ghee (clarified butter);
  • A pinch of salt;
  • 1 can of lactose-free whipping cream;
  • 1/4 cup of xylitol sweetener;
  • 20g of almond flour.

How to prepare sugar-free Brazilian brigadeiro:

  1. Place a pot over low heat and add the whipping cream and xylitol;
  2. Mix them very well;
  3. When it starts to thicken, transfer to a blender and blend with almond flour;
  4. After blending, return the mixture to the pot and continue stirring;
  5. Next, add the cocoa powder and stir until it detaches from the bottom of the pot, dissolving all almond flour;
  6. It will become smooth and creamy, similar to a conventional brigadeiro;
  7. Refrigerate;
  8. Then roll into balls and coat with 70% sugar-free chocolate.
