Ingredients for Cassava and Ground Beef Casserole:

  • 2.2 lbs of well-cooked cassava;
  • 1 tablespoon of butter;
  • 1 or 2 tablespoons of dehydrated onion;
  • 1 can of sour cream;
  • 200ml of milk;
  • 200g of ground beef sauce;
  • Mozzarella cheese to taste.

How to prepare Cassava and Ground Beef Casserole

  1. Cook the cassava in a pressure cooker for 5-10 minutes;
  2. Mash the cassava to make a purée;
  3. Sauté the dehydrated onion in butter;
  4. Add sour cream and the cooked mashed cassava;
  5. Mix well, then add milk;
  6. When creamy, layer the cassava and beef sauce in a baking dish;
  7. Top with cheese;
  8. Bake at 375°F until the cheese is golden and bubbly, then serve!
