Today’s recipe is perfect for a Friday night! We’re making an easy lasagna with fresh pastry dough—the ultimate hack for a quick, delicious meal to wind down the week with a glass of wine. Let’s get started!

Ingredients for Easy Pastry Dough Lasagna:

  • 1 package fresh refrigerated pastry dough (the thin type used for empanadas or egg rolls);
  • 14 oz (400g) deli-style ham, thinly sliced;
  • 14 oz (400g) mozzarella cheese, shredded or sliced;
  • 1 jar (approx. 15-24 oz) your favorite marinara sauce;
  • Dried oregano to taste;
  • 7 oz (200g) cream cheese or ricotta.

How to make Easy Pastry Dough Lasagna:

  1. Unroll the pastry dough and cut it to fit your baking dish size;
  2. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce at the bottom of the dish;
  3. Place the first layer of dough over the sauce;
  4. Add a layer of sauce, followed by ham, cheese, and a dollop of cream cheese/ricotta;
  5. Repeat the layers until you reach the top of the dish or run out of ingredients;
  6. Finish the final layer with plenty of mozzarella and a sprinkle of dried oregano;
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) until the pasta is tender and the cheese is melted and golden. Enjoy!
