Pro Tip:
For the best results, we recommend bringing the beef to room temperature before cooking. Take it out of the refrigerator and let it sit for about 30 minutes; this helps achieve a much juicier result.
Did you know?
Despite the name, “roast beef” didn’t always strictly refer to oven-roasted meat. The term comes from the French expression “rôtir” (to roast) and “bœuf” (beef). Traditionally, it was prepared by roasting a large piece of beef on a spit over an open fire. Today, while it is most commonly oven-roasted, the term remains a classic staple for a perfectly cooked, tender beef roast, usually served in thin slices.
