A tasty, sweet, and enchanting liqueur. Homemade orange liqueur, feel the freshness and sweetness together in one drink. It will become one of your favorites.
Ingredients for homemade orange liqueur:
- 5 Cups of dark brown sugar;
- 8 Cups of mineral water;
- 3 Cups of vodka;
- 1 Cup of brandy;
- 6 Cloves;
- 3 Cinnamon sticks;
- 1 Teaspoon of Sicilian lemon juice;
- 1 Teaspoon of grated ginger;
- Pulp of 4 oranges.
How to prepare homemade orange liqueur:
- Start by peeling the oranges, removing the seeds, and discarding the pulp;
- Pour the orange pulp into a blender and blend until you get a homogeneous liquid mixture;
- Transfer the orange liquid to a sterilized bottle and add brandy and vodka;
- Seal the bottle tightly and place it in a sunny location for 10 days to ferment;
- After fermentation, take a pot, add sugar, water, cloves, cinnamon, ginger, and lemon juice;
- Cook over medium heat until you get syrup-like consistency;
- Remove the pot from heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature;
- Once cooled, strain it and transfer to the bottle containing the fermented orange liquid;
- Seal the bottle again and place it in a sunny spot for another 10 days;
- After the second sun exposure period, strain the contents using a paper filter and transfer the liquid to another sterilized bottle.
Tip:
Once ready, store the liqueur bottle in a cool, dark place like a pantry or cabinet. Avoid direct sunlight, as it may affect the flavor and quality. Choose a glass bottle with a tight lid and prefer a dark glass bottle.
