In this incredible recipe for Corn Ribs, we’ll prepare them in two ways: air-fried and oven-roasted. These corn ribs are absolutely irresistible. Read on to find out which cooking method comes out as the winner!
Ingredients:
- 4 ears of corn
- 5 tablespoons (approx. 70g) melted clarified butter or ghee
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
- Flaky sea salt and black pepper to taste
How to Make Roasted Corn Ribs:
- Husk the corn and trim the ends. Carefully stand each ear up on a cutting board and cut it in half, then cut each piece into quarters lengthwise to form the “ribs.”
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, dried parsley, salt, and pepper. Brush the mixture generously over all sides of the corn ribs.
- Air Fryer method: Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 12 minutes, flipping halfway through. Oven method: Roast at 410°F (210°C) for the same amount of time, turning halfway through.
- Serve warm, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese, chopped fresh scallions, and parsley. Enjoy!
Pro Tip:
For the best results, use a sharp, heavy-duty chef’s knife and take your time cutting the corn into ribs to ensure they are even and hold their shape during cooking.
Did You Know?
While the air fryer is a fast and convenient way to get a nice char, oven-roasting often helps the corn retain more moisture, resulting in a juicier bite. Try both methods and see which texture you prefer!
