How to make Ham, Cheese, and Broccoli Quiche:

  1. First, preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C);

  4. Pour the egg mixture over the broccoli and cheese layer;
  5. Carefully use your fingers or a spatula to press the broccoli and other ingredients into an even layer;

A Little History About Quiche:

While today quiche is a staple of French cuisine, its origins are actually German, from the medieval kingdom of Lothringen. The French later dubbed it “Lorraine.” The word “quiche” is derived from the German “kuchen,” which means “cake” or “tart.” The original Quiche Lorraine dates back to the 16th century and was an open-faced tart filled with a custard of cream, eggs, and smoked bacon. Cheese was added to the Quiche Lorraine only much later.

Quiche became popular in England shortly after World War II and in the United States in the 1950s. Today, there is a wide variety of quiches, ranging from the classic Quiche Lorraine to versions with leeks, mushrooms, spinach, fish like salmon, and many others (Source: Wikipedia).
