  • 10.5 oz (300g) green cabbage, shredded;
  • 4 cups (1 liter) beef broth;
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch;
  • 1/3 cup (80ml) cold water;
  • Salt to taste;
  • 4 tbsp heavy cream;
  • Fresh parsley, chopped to taste.

How to Prepare Creamy Cabbage Soup:

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the chopped bacon;
  2. Fry the bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon, keeping the rendered fat in the pot. Set the bacon aside;
  3. Add the onion and garlic to the bacon fat and sauté until softened and translucent;
  4. Add the pinch of salt and the shredded cabbage to the pot, mixing well;
  5. Sauté for about 5 minutes, or until the cabbage begins to wilt;
