Ingredients for homemade pasta:
- Salt and seasonings of your choice, to taste;
- Water;
- 1 Egg;
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil or vegetable oil;
- 1 cup all-purpose flour or whole wheat flour.
How to make homemade pasta:
- Sift the flour first;
- Mix in the olive oil, egg, and your preferred seasonings;
- Combine the ingredients by hand in a bowl;
- The dough will begin to come together, but it will still be a bit crumbly;
- Gradually add small amounts of water and knead the dough until it is smooth, uniform, and no longer sticks to your hands;
- Let the dough rest for about 5 minutes;
- While it rests, bring a large pot with 1 quart of water and a pinch of salt to a boil;
- Roll out the dough on a flat, lightly floured surface using a rolling pin;

- When the water reaches a rolling boil, add the pasta and cook until al dente;
