  • 6 cloves garlic, minced;
  • 1 teaspoon salt;
  • 1 1/4 cups boiling water (300 ml);
  • 1 medium carrot, cut into matchsticks.

How to make Bife a Rolê:

  1. Place the steaks in a medium bowl or dish.
  2. Season the beef with the minced garlic and salt.
  3. On a clean surface, lay out the steaks and place a few carrot matchsticks and a green bean in the center of each.
  4. Roll up the steaks tightly and secure them with toothpicks.
  5. Heat the vegetable oil in a medium saucepan or skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Add the beef rolls and brown them on all sides.
  7. Pour in the boiling water. Cover partially and simmer over medium heat for about 15 minutes, or until the meat is tender.
  8. Remove from heat.
  9. Important: Remove the toothpicks before serving!
