Ingredients for Marbled Cake:

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2/3 cup salted butter, room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup whole milk

How to Make Marbled Cake:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add the eggs.
  2. Add the softened butter.
  3. Mix well until the eggs and butter are fully incorporated.
  4. Stir in the sugar and milk, mixing until smooth.
  5. Add the oil and flour, stirring until the batter is smooth and well combined.
  6. Gently fold in the baking powder.
  7. Once the batter is smooth, divide it into two equal parts.
  8. Stir the cocoa powder into one of the bowls until fully dissolved.
  9. Grease a cake pan. Pour the white batter and the chocolate batter alternately, swirling them together with a knife or toothpick for the marbled effect.
