Today, we’re putting a twist on the classic dessert. Let’s make a velvety vanilla pudding—Sunday is the perfect day to get creative in the kitchen, right? Let’s get to the recipe!
Ingredients for Vanilla Pudding:
- 1 package of vanilla pudding mix (instant or cook-and-serve);
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk;
- 1 can (approx. 10 oz) heavy cream (or table cream);
- 3.4 fl oz (100ml) whole milk.
How to make Vanilla Pudding:
- First, dissolve the vanilla pudding mix into the milk;
- Next, add the remaining ingredients and place in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until it reaches a boil;
- Once it boils, continue cooking for another 3 minutes, then remove from heat;
- In a separate small saucepan, prepare your favorite strawberry sauce or a classic sugar caramel;
- Pour the sauce into a pudding mold;
- Pour the pudding mixture over the sauce;
- Allow it to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until firm and set;
- Unmold, serve, and enjoy!
Pro Tip:
It is super important to stir the pudding mixture constantly while it’s cooking on the stove. This prevents lumps from forming and ensures your pudding turns out perfectly creamy and smooth.
Did you know?
Vanilla is extracted from orchid pods. The vanilla orchid flower blooms for only one day, and must be hand-pollinated for the pod to grow. After harvesting, the pods are cured and dried in the sun to develop that signature intense flavor and aroma.
