These little treats are pure comfort food, bringing back fond childhood memories—and now, you can enjoy them in a lighter, guilt-free version. Let’s get to the recipe!

Ingredients for Air Fryer Healthy Bolinho de Chuva:

  • 1 Egg
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp ghee (melted)
  • 3 cups almond flour
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • Cinnamon and coconut sugar for dusting (optional, to taste)

How to Make Air Fryer Healthy Bolinho de Chuva:

  1. In a bowl, lightly whisk the egg.
  2. Add the melted ghee and coconut milk, mixing well.
  3. Stir in the coconut sugar until well combined.
  4. Gradually incorporate the almond flour until you have a smooth, homogeneous batter.
  5. Gently fold in the baking powder.
  6. Preheat your air fryer for 5 minutes at 350°F (180°C).
  7. Line the bottom of the air fryer basket with a sheet of parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  8. Using a spoon, drop portions of the batter into the basket, leaving about an inch of space between each to prevent sticking.
  9. Lower the air fryer temperature to 300°F (150°C).
  10. Bake for about 10 minutes.
  11. Increase the temperature back to 350°F (180°C) and bake for an additional 5 minutes to get them golden brown.
  12. Remove from the air fryer and dust with a cinnamon and coconut sugar mixture if desired. Enjoy!

Substitutions & Tips:

You can easily customize this recipe with healthy swaps: replace almond flour with oat flour, coconut sugar with raw cane sugar (demerara), or coconut milk with low-fat dairy milk. If you don’t have ghee, regular butter works perfectly fine.
