Ingredients for Turmeric Bread:

  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup tapioca flour (or tapioca starch)
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar, raw sugar, or xylitol
  • 1 tbsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp xanthan gum
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 egg

How to Make Turmeric Bread:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together all the dry ingredients: rice flour, cornstarch, tapioca flour, sugar, yeast, xanthan gum, turmeric, and salt.
  2. Create a well in the center and add the lightly beaten egg and half of the warm water. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add the remaining water and continue mixing until you achieve a smooth dough.
  4. Finally, add the coconut oil and knead the dough until it is smooth and well-incorporated.
  5. Transfer the dough into a loaf pan greased with coconut oil.
  6. Use a dampened spoon to smooth the surface of the bread.
  7. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 25 minutes.
  8. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) for 15 minutes.
  9. Bake the bread for 35 to 40 minutes, or until it is golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  10. Enjoy!

Tip:

To keep the bread fresh for longer, you can freeze individual slices or store it in the refrigerator for up to five days. Simply toast a slice from frozen or refrigerated to enjoy fresh-tasting bread anytime.
