Ingredients for Chicken Stroganoff:

  • 2 1/4 pounds chicken breast;
  • 1 can of button mushrooms;
  • 2 cans of sour cream;
  • 2 medium yellow onions (or 1 large);

  • Black pepper to taste;
  • 3 cups peeled and seeded diced tomatoes;
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil;
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup.

How to Prepare Chicken Stroganoff:

  1. First, cut the chicken into strips;
  2. Next, sauté the chicken in olive oil;
  3. Add the chopped onion and cook for about 20 minutes, always watching;
  4. Then add the ketchup and mushrooms;
  5. Cook for another 5 minutes;
  6. Check if the sauce is creamy and bubbling, then turn off the heat;
  7. Now add the sour cream;
  8. Stir continuously to blend the sauce with the sour cream;
  9. Don’t forget to turn off the heat before adding the sour cream to prevent curdling;
