Did You Know?

Cherries are the fruit of Prunus genus trees. Common varieties include sweet cherries (Prunus avium) and tart cherries (Prunus cerasus, also called sour cherries). Tart cherries are ideal for jams, jellies, and liqueurs like kirsch and maraschino liqueur. Cherries contain proteins, calcium, iron, and vitamins A, B, and C. Fresh cherries have refreshing, diuretic, and laxative properties. They’re rich in anthocyanins, which act as natural anti-inflammatories reducing body inflammation. The seeds inside cherries have vermifuge and diuretic properties (Source: Wikipedia).
